Our Verdict

Brash, focused, and upfront about its pitch. The nervous cameraman gives it a sliver of heart, but the outcome is never in doubt, and 90 tokens for the paid half is steep for a premise the free episodes already spell out.

What is Student Bodies about?

Bonnie Blue’s licensed AI twin arrives at a university with just twenty-four hours to set a new record, livestreaming every minute of the stunt for her fans. The stunt borrows directly from the livestreamed challenges that made the real creator famous, and the series makes no effort to disguise it. All the students are adults, and nothing on screen was filmed with the actual creator.

The human angle comes from a shy, inexperienced student assigned to run the camera, whom she decides to build up before the day is over. A ticking clock and one location give the five episodes a tight shape. It is the bluntest entry in the creator lineup: ideal for fans of Bonnie Blue’s public persona and the spectacle of a crowd, far less so for anyone hoping for plot surprises.
