Our promise
Every series on Best AI Shorts is researched by our editorial team before it receives a score. We check the official listing for episode counts, free episodes, token prices and new releases, analyze the premise, characters and production quality, and keep each score updated as the series evolves. Platforms cannot pay to appear in our rankings or to change a score.
The five criteria
Each series is scored from 0 to 10 on five criteria. The overall score is a weighted average.
1. Story & Script
Is the premise clear within seconds? Does the tension build across episodes? Does the finale deliver, or does the story just stop? We reward tight pacing, sharp dialogue and endings that feel earned.
2. Visual Quality
Resolution, lighting, realism of movement and lip sync. We note artifacts, glitches and moments where the AI “breaks” the illusion.
3. Character & Voice
Consistency is the hardest problem in AI video. We check whether faces, outfits and voices stay the same from the first to the last episode, and whether the leads have real chemistry.
4. Interactivity
What can you do beyond watching? Chatting with the star after an episode, choices that affect the story, or extra content all count here.
5. Value for Tokens
How much story do you get for what it costs to unlock? We factor in the number of free episodes, the token cost per episode and the total length.

Reader votes
Each series page also includes a reader rating. Reader votes are shown separately from our editor score so you can compare both opinions.
Updates
Scores are revised when a series gets new episodes or a platform improves its technology. Rankings update automatically as soon as a score changes, and every page shows its last update date.
