Not Under My Roof Review

What is Not Under My Roof about?

A groom-to-be sits through a family dinner while the bride’s mother, played by Antonella Larrea, declares his stag night canceled, and nobody at the table argues. The ruling sounds final. An hour later the dishes are cleared, his fiancée has turned in for the night upstairs, and that very woman corners him with a proposal of her own. Soon after, a pair of her friends slip in through the rear entrance.

The whole thing plays out in one house over one night, and the comedy comes from her double standard: the strictest person in the family is quickest to ignore her own decree. Five quick episodes keep the pace brisk, and a bride dozing overhead adds constant risk. It is a fit for viewers who enjoy the in-law theme with a crowded, escalating twist rather than a quiet two-person secret.
