Cleopatra and Caesar Review

What is Cleopatra and Caesar about?

Queen Cleopatra sets her sights on Julius Caesar and draws him into a liaison that betrays both duty and alliance. Once she is expecting his baby, a private indulgence becomes a political crisis. Caesar’s humiliated wife forms an alliance with Mark Antony to get even, and Caesar must decide whether Rome or Cleopatra matters more.

This is costume fantasy, not a documentary: famous names, palaces and senate intrigue, reimagined as grown-up court melodrama with a commanding woman at its center. The free pair covers the seduction and its fallout, and the explicit scenes come in the final three episodes. It suits viewers who want crowns, betrayal and big stakes in place of a suburban kitchen, and who are happy to trade accuracy for spectacle.
