Stepsister Summer Review

What is Stepsister Summer about?

With school out and your father away on a long work trip, you are left at home with Brooklyn Ashford, the new stepsister you have barely met. She wastes no time testing which house rules still count. Then her stepmother, freshly married into the family, starts paying attention too, and when Brooklyn’s friend arrives to stay, the situation becomes a three-way rivalry under one roof.

Unlike most two-person stories in the catalog, this one is a busy ensemble with a light, playful, competitive tone rather than brooding drama. The trade-off is depth: three threads share five short episodes, so none of them gets much room, and the friend in particular is underused. It suits viewers who like the outnumbered fantasy and a sunny vacation mood. Don’t confuse it with Your New Stepsister, which is unrelated.
