Madison: My Dad’s Best Friend’s Daughter Review

What is Madison: My Dad’s Best Friend’s Daughter about?

Madison, an adult whose dad is close friends with Ryan’s father, settles into the upstairs attic for a stay of three months. She and Ryan click almost immediately, and the house suddenly feels much smaller. Then Ryan’s girlfriend phones out of nowhere: she is returning tomorrow, and a slow flirtation suddenly has a very short fuse.

The appeal is the ticking clock: a guest who is staying for months versus a partner due back in hours. It is a straightforward drama about a visitor under the same roof, with a will-they-or-won’t-they core, built for viewers who like the risk of being caught more than elaborate plotting. The family tie in the name only explains how the households know each other; the leads are not related. Later episodes turn explicit, and the whole thing can be watched in one short sitting.
