Her Stepmom Is the Boss Review

What is Her Stepmom Is the Boss about?

Thanks to some string-pulling by his girlfriend, he lands a position, which seems like great luck until his first day. The woman running the entire floor, signing off on his work and setting his hours, is revealed to be her glamorous stepmother, Margot Vey, and her intentions for him have little to do with his actual duties.

The series doubles up two favorite dynamics in one character: the boss and the stepmom. Every move Margot makes threatens both his career and his relationship, and any protest would mean admitting how he landed the position. The office setting gives it a polished, corporate look that stands apart from the home-bound stepmom stories. Heat is moderate, with the tension built more on leverage than volume. A good match for fans of power dynamics and workplace secrets.
